The best part of this hobby for me is sharing it and spending time with my son, Elijah! \u00a0Even though he’s 8, he’s been driving r\/c for several years and really seems to enjoy the different parts of\u00a0the hobby.<\/p>\n

He’s just as happy bashing around the house as he is racing on the track, and he’s a pretty good driver for his age. \u00a0While Elijah can hold his own at the track, he\u00a0also has no problem moving out of the way\u00a0for the faster practice cars. And when his vehicle’s\u00a0batteries are charging, he’s everyone’s favorite Marshal during those practice sessions.<\/p>\n

After he’s done driving and before putting the cars away, cleaning the vehicles are\u00a0less of a chore for\u00a0Elijah\u00a0and more an enjoyable priority. \u00a0He understands\u00a0the importance of maintenance, and enjoys\u00a0keeping his r\/c vehicles in their best condition.<\/p>\n

He also loves taking r\/c cars\u00a0apart and putting them back together. \u00a0In the picture below\u00a0he’s seen upgrading the Dromida BX4.18 from a stock brushed setup\u00a0to a\u00a0brushless racing\u00a0machine\u00a0with aluminum components. \u00a0I did mine while he did his, but most importantly, we did it together. \u00a0It truly is the best part of this hobby for me.<\/p>\n
